Region Section 2 Conclave

Last year Wewanoma Lodge was
represented
by 3 youth and 4 adults
Make plans to join us in Waco this year for a
great weekend of Brotherhood and Learning.
Ceremony and Election teams can compete for recognition.

Registration is done on an individual basis this year.
You will need to set up a My SR-2 account.
Then just click on the link to register for the Conclave.
You will need to provide some personal information to the
Section for the Conclave. You will need to select a theme for
the classes you will be attending. Then you will select the classes
from that theme. You can even select a room mate as you register.
If you want anything from the trading post you can order with the
registration. You will need to download Conclave specific forms
and fill them and finally you will need to submit your payment with the
completed forms to the
Council Service Center. The conclave fee is $60.00 this year plus your
Trading Post Order.
The Advisor will not be able to approve your registration until the payment is
recorded.

Re-organization of
Southern Region Areas
The Boy Scouts of America (BSA) has once again re-organized the Areas of the
Southern Region. All but two of the areas have seen changes in their
composition. These changes are to
take effect in 2009.

Troop
Order of the Arrow Elections should take place by the End of May. Each
Chapter should have a trained election team that includes the Troops O/A Troop
Representatives. Scoutmasters should contact the local Chapter
Advisor. The rules for elections are available to all through the Guide
for Officers and Advisors see pages 22- 25. You
may use the election report in the GOA or the Election
form which includes the Adult Election Report. Scoutmasters/OA Troop
Representatives please have this form prepared for the Election Team when they
arrive. There must be Troop 50% attendance for a valid OA Election.
The completed election forms should go to David Enos and a copy to Cecily Dyer
or Mike Henry.

Lodge Goals 2007-2008
- Implement the Adopt-a-Troop program.
- Earn the Quality Lodge for 2008.
- Be involved at Cub Scout activities
(Trailblazer weekends)
- Conduct the chapel project at camp.
- Send 30 or more scouts to sectional in July
2007.
- Compete in all events at the sectional.
- Implement an active web page link for the
each chapter.
- Build a Dance and Drum team.
- Conduct Pow-Wows on Saturday nights at all conclaves.
- Actively help to recruit at Cub Scout meetings.
- Participate at Crossover ceremonies.
- Hold ceremony team competition at the Pow-Wow weekend and at the May
Fellowship.
- Encourage and facilitate building Native American outfits by each
member.
- Increase awareness in the OA
ScoutReach program.
Chapter Goals 2007-2008
- Build ceremony teams for all three ceremonies.
- Increase O.A. Pow-Wow Weekend participation.
- Increase the use of the O.A. Troop rep. in the Chapters.
- Train Chapter Election Teams to
include OA Troop Representatives.
- Train the Troop Reps. to serve on the Camping Promotion and election
teams.
- Hold two service projects in the community. One each in the fall and
spring.
- Build a dance and drum team
- Be involved in Cub Scout activities in our Chapters.
- Implement the Adopt-a-Troop program in our areas.
